Dr. Bonifacius Hendar Putranto, S.S., M.Hum.

Dr. Bonifacius Hendar Putranto, S.S., M.Hum. earned his Bachelor’s degree (2004) and Master’s degree (2008) from the Driyarkara School of Philosophy, Jakarta, and obtained his Doctorate in Communication Science from the University of Indonesia in 2025. His dissertation presented an in-depth reflection on the importance of communication ethics in the production of knowledge—an issue of pressing relevance amid the growing crisis of academic integrity. He began his career as a part-time lecturer at the Industrial Mechanical Engineering Academy in Cikarang (2003–2005) and has served as a full-time faculty member in the Communication Science Program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) since 2008, teaching courses such as Critical & Creative Thinking, Design Thinking, Communication Ethics, Intercultural Communication, and Qualitative Research Method. His research has been published in reputable international journals, including the Journal of Intercultural Communication Research (Scopus Q1) and Jurnal Komunikasi Malaysia (Scopus Q3), and he actively serves as a reviewer for several Scopus Q1–Q2 journals. He currently holds the positions of Research & Community Service Coordinator at UMN’s Faculty of Communication and Chief Editor of UltimaComm Journal (Sinta 3).
