Anutara Organizes Crochet Class with Emji

Tangerang – On (29/11/2024), Anutara UMN held a crochet class. This crochet class is Anutara’s first program open to staff, lecturers, and students. This time, Anutara collaborated with Maria Giovani, the owner of Emji.

Anutara created this crochet class workshop activity to provide new experiences to the UMN community and serve as a forum for its creativity.

“This activity is expected to bring Anutara closer to the UMN community, including lecturers, staff, and students. We want to be known by the UMN community as a brand with handcrafted product. So, we hold workshops that align with Anutara,” Bibob, Anutara Marketing staff, said.

In the knitting class workshop with Maria Giovani, the owner of Emji, students and staff are given basic guidance on how to knit properly and correctly. Participants made a bottle holder using a pattern Maria provided.

“In my opinion, knitting not only produces work but also trains our patience, reduces anxiety, and can improve motor skills,” Maria said.

For Maria, knitting can also be a future career opportunity, such as becoming a pattern designer, which she is currently working as. The class lasted two hours. Students and staff were also taught how to knit a bottle holder from basic to finished.

“I’m happy to be able to join Anutara’s workshop. It’s a new and exciting experience for me. Hopefully, in the future, Anutara can make more workshops like this,” Marvena Anwar, one of the students who participated in the knitting class, said.

In the future, Anutara hopes to conduct more activities that can hone the creativity skills of the UMN academic community.
