Carita, Banten (18/06/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), together with PT Surveyor Indonesia, officially launched the “Pesisir Berdaya Lestari” (Empowered Sustainable Coastal) program in collaboration with the Yayasan Konservasi Alam Bawah Laut (Underwater Nature Conservation Foundation). This collaborative program represents UMN’s commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly the pillar of Community Service.
“I am proud to gather here and inaugurate this collaboration. For UMN, collaboration and partnership are deeply meaningful. Not only do they support sustainable development, but they also build a long-term foundation for the future to create real impact for communities,” Andrey said.
For Andrey, the Pesisir Berdaya Lestari program was born of a simple yet profound awareness of the need to support sustainable development in Indonesia. Education, the economy, and the environment are interconnected and play essential roles in sustaining Indonesian communities.
“This program also aligns with UMN’s commitment to sustainability programs. We continue to equip students with the increasingly needed green skills, systemic thinking, and the ability to solve increasingly complex problems,” he added.
Andrey hopes that the Pesisir Berdaya Lestari program can serve as the beginning of a long journey to improve people’s lives—economically, educationally, and socially. Furthermore, Andrey also expressed his hope that UMN faculty and students can make tangible contributions.
Also present at the inauguration of this collaboration was Martyanto Tedjo, Acting Head of the Social & Environmental Responsibility Unit at PT Surveyor Indonesia, who expressed his pride in it.
“This program has long been part of our responsibility, but we are rebranding and collaborating with various stakeholders. It is hoped that through this groundbreaking program, it can be sustainable—not merely ceremonial—but we can truly prove our commitment to all levels of society by creating programs that are empowering, useful, and impactful for the wider community,” Martyanto said.
On this occasion, Tedjo also revealed that the program will target three main aspects: economic, social, and environmental. Tedjo is also open to new ideas and innovations that can be developed together. Mugni H Laqoni, S.H., M.M., Head of the Southern Region Branch Office of the Marine and Fisheries Service (DKP), also expressed positive support for the collaboration between UMN and PT Surveyor Indonesia.
“We fully support the Pesisir Berdaya Lestari program. For me, this is a good program for continuing to preserve the underwater ecosystem. Collaboration between universities, industry, and government is a good strategy, and its impact will be even greater,” Mugni said.
Mugni hopes that with the launch of this program, the coastal area of Sukarame Village can continue to develop over time, and that it will not only improve underwater conservation but also have a positive impact on the community. The Head of the Banten Tourism Office, Eli Susiyanti, also expressed her appreciation for the collaboration on this program.
“This Pesisir Berdaya Lestari program collaboration is extraordinary to me. I certainly hope this program does not stop at launch but also makes a real contribution to the future of Sukarame Village. Considering that 65% of the coastal areas are tourism destinations, I think this is a significant opportunity,” Eli said.
Eli hopes that through this collaboration, various industries and educational institutions can also be mobilized to work together in preserving nature and tourism in Banten. It is hoped that this collaboration will benefit the community.
