UMN and Spectrum UniTec are Both Open to Partnership and Collaboration Opportunities
December 17, 2025At Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), we recognize the importance of integrating sustainability into our institutional framework, and this commitment is clearly reflected in our governance structure. Our sustainability journey begins at the highest level of leadership. The Rector has established a university-wide mandate to implement sustainability across all aspects of the institution — from strategic planning and policy development to good governance practices and daily operations.
The Vice Rector for Academic and Internationalization play a significant role in strengthening students’ sustainability awareness by ensuring that all courses are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This policy ensures that sustainability principles are embedded within the academic curriculum across disciplines.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Employability, Student Affairs, and Entrepreneurship promote the SDGs through initiatives such as international competitions that focus on sustainability-related challenges, encouraging students to develop innovative and impactful solutions.
Overall coordination of university-wide sustainability initiatives is primarily managed by the Center for Sustainability, which operates under the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Sustainability. In this structure, the Vice Rector plays a crucial leadership role in ensuring that sustainability values are infused into research priorities, innovation ecosystems, and institutional strategy. The Vice Rector ensures that sustainability is not treated as a standalone initiative but as a core pillar of the university’s academic and operational excellence.
