Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) is committed to creating a safe and respectful campus environment by providing access to information, support services, and reporting mechanisms related to sexual and reproductive health and the prevention of sexual violence. These efforts are coordinated through the Satuan Tugas Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan di Perguruan Tinggi (Satgas PPKPT), also known as Safe Space UMN, which works to ensure that the university community is protected from all forms of sexual harassment, gender-based violence, and other forms of violence on campus.
Satgas PPKPT provides accessible channels for reporting and assistance for students and staff who experience or witness inappropriate behavior, harassment, or violence. Reports can be submitted through multiple channels, including email, phone, or an online reporting form, and individuals may also seek assistance through Student Support services. Once a report is received, the task force conducts a verification and investigation process, including confidential interviews with reporters or witnesses. At the same time, the university provides support and recovery assistance for victims, ensuring that their well-being and privacy are protected. Based on the findings, the task force submits recommendations to the university’s leadership for further action.
In addition to handling reports, Satgas PPKPT actively conducts preventive education and awareness programs across the campus community. These initiatives include training sessions, seminars, and socialization programs for students, academic staff, and administrative personnel to increase awareness of sexual harassment prevention, consent, gender respect, and safe campus behavior. The task force also collaborates with other universities and institutions through benchmarking visits and outreach activities to strengthen best practices in preventing and addressing violence in higher education. The committee also conducts various workshops aimed at:
- Raising Awareness
Through these workshops, students are educated about their rights, available reporting mechanisms, and the importance of maintaining sexual and reproductive health. The sessions also provide guidance on recognizing sexual harassment or violence and understanding how to seek support safely. - Building a Safe and Inclusive Community
By encouraging open discussions and active participation, the committee fosters a campus environment where students feel safe to share concerns, support one another, and collectively contribute to creating an inclusive and violence-free university community.

Through these initiatives, UMN ensures that the campus community has access not only to reporting and support mechanisms but also to educational resources that promote awareness, safety, and informed decision-making regarding sexual and reproductive health and respectful relationships.
