
Sahya Vidya Nusantara Encourages Students to Become Agents of Change

Tangerang, (01/19/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara once again held the UMN Indonesian Experience 2026 internationalization program, a student mobility program that aims to strengthen international collaboration and cross-cultural learning. This activity was attended by various UMN partner universities in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and will last for one week at UMN.
In strengthening its vision of becoming a world-class university, UMN continues to explore international programs with various universities. UMN Indonesian Experience is one of UMN’s international student mobility programs held regularly every two years. This activity is carried out in collaboration with UMN’s international partner universities. This year, the UMN Indonesian Experience program welcomed 63 students from around the world.
“I am proud to welcome students from various countries to come and study at UMN. Your presence is proof of the spirit of international collaboration and cross-cultural learning. This also proves that UMN accommodates inclusive and diverse learning,” said Dr. Andrey Andoko, Rector of UMN.
For Andrey, this program is a unique learning experience, as students not only learn in the classroom but also about Indonesian culture and traditions. In addition, this program integrates learning about Artificial Intelligence (AI), a topic that is currently an important.
“I hope this program can encourage collaborative learning among students. This is a good opportunity for students, not only to gain new knowledge but also to improve various skills together. I hope that many Indonesian cultural values can be learned together and leave a good impression,” said Andrey.

Participants in the UMN Indonesian Experience will attend classes across four UMN faculties. The learning process will also emphasize Indonesian culture and AI from multiple disciplines and perspectives. In addition, students will also participate in numerous activities, ranging from industrial visits to Kompas Gramedia and other Indonesian cultural sites.
The universities participating in the UMN Indonesian Experience in January 2026 are
- Bangladesh: University of Liberal Arts
- Cambodia: University of Technology and Entrepreneurship, and Camtech University
- India: Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology and Parul University,
- Japan: Tokyo Denki University
- Malaysia: Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia
- Palestine: Al Quds University
- Philippines: Southern Luzon State University
- Poland: Vistula University
- United Kingdom: Teeside University
The UMN Indonesian Experience program is expected to be a tangible manifestation of UMN’s commitment to collaborating with other universities to create innovative, inclusive, and sustainable educational experiences. It is hoped that this program will strengthen UMN’s relationships with its partner universities and enhance UMN’s global reputation.
