Tangerang, (12/04/2025) – Sahya Vidya Nusantara (SVN) is an Eco-Challenge series of activities from the 2025 National Young Researchers Competition (Lomba Peneliti Belia/LPB) specifically for non-finalists. This activity was enthusiastically attended by more than 200 participants from various schools across several provinces in Indonesia.
SVN is an activity that promotes sustainability, creativity, and teamwork. This activity encourages students to collaborate, understand science, and create sustainable solutions. Participants designed their results and ideas using recycled low-value plastic waste boards provided by Waste4Change and Repair Project.
“Sahya Vidya Nusantara is designed with 21st Century Learning, where participants undergo a learning process to improve their skills, starting from data collection, collaboration, strategic thinking, critical thinking, prototype creation, and presentation. On this occasion, participants can generate and create new ideas that can be developed from recycled boards,” Dr. Eng. Niki Prastomo, S.T., M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics and Chair of the 2025 National LPB, explained.
According to Niki, this activity is essential for equipping students with knowledge about sustainability from an early age. She sees three key stages in sustainability: awareness, involvement, and proactivity.

“This activity can encourage students to be aware of sustainability. Once they are aware, they can influence and motivate their peers to support sustainability. For me, this activity can create a ‘butterfly effect’, where one person can spread the message to many others, so that we can prepare students to be agents of change,” Niki said.
SVN also emphasizes other values, such as the circular economy and Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this activity, Niki noted that participants can use AI tools to search for sources, data, and information. Niki wants to shape the understanding that sustainability can go hand in hand with AI.
Various parties, including PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, Google Indonesia, Repair Project, Waste4Change, and TetraPak, also support SVN. This demonstrates a strategy and tangible evidence that cross-sector collaboration is essential for nurturing a generation of young people who care about sustainability.
“Danamon is proud and delighted to support the entire series of activities in the 2025 National LPB. I believe this effort can help students develop themselves and prepare for their careers. This activity is important for equipping students,” Novily Chandra, Regional Head of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, which is the sponsor of the 2025 National LPB, said.
For Novily, this activity is part of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk’s commitment to building a good education ecosystem in Indonesia. With this support, it is hoped that collaboration between educational institutions and industry can be harmonious and that Indonesia Emas 2045 can be realized. Novily hopes that students who participate in SVN activities will not only gain new knowledge but also have an enjoyable experience.
