Through its incubator Skystar Ventures, UMN provides mentorship, facilities, and ecosystem support for startups that focus on environmental sustainability, digital innovation, and inclusive economic growth.

Sustainability Innovation Challenge 2024 – Skystar Ventures UMN, NYP, and MMU

Through Skystar Ventures, UMN’s official business incubator, the university once again launched the Sustainability Innovation Challenge 2024 in partnership with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Multimedia University (MMU).
This competition serves as a platform for students and young entrepreneurs to develop creative solutions to environmental challenges. Participants are encouraged to design ideas and prototypes focusing on energy efficiency, waste management, carbon reduction, and sustainable resource use.

LAF System – UMN Alumni Innovation for Operational Efficiency at MRT Jakarta
In addition to startup competitions, UMN also supports technological innovations developed by its alumni. One notable example is the LAF System, an iOS-based application created by UMN alumni that will soon be implemented at MRT Jakarta.

The app serves as a digital Lost and Found management system, helping streamline reporting and handling processes for misplaced items. By utilizing technology to improve operational efficiency and public service quality, this innovation represents a step toward digital transformation that supports sustainability.

Financial Literacy & Inclusion Startup – Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
