Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) recently conducted a data-based training program for environmental NGOs in Bandung, aiming to enhance data management and advocacy skills. Held on November 5-6, 2024, at UPI Bandung Campus, the program was attended by 25 participants and involved collaboration with UPI lecturers. The training covered topics such as data management, strategic campaign communication, data-driven advocacy, effective data publication techniques, and crisis communication. The initiative aligns with SDG 17 by strengthening partnerships and empowering NGOs to utilize data for informed policy development and public engagement.

Moreover, UMN had an active collaboration with NGOs such as Gugus Mitigasi Lebak Selatan in developing policies for disaster-resilient energy systems like mobile solar panels equipped with IoT technology. These systems provide independent power after disasters, ensuring electricity for communication and emergency services. By partnering in research, pilot projects, and data sharing, the university helps identify policy gaps, technical barriers, and community needs while supporting evidence-based policymaking. Through collaboration with Gugus Mitigasi Lebak Selatan, UMN can translate innovation into practical policy solutions—strengthening resilience, promoting clean energy access, and fostering effective multi-stakeholder partnerships in line with SDG 17.
