Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), which operates under the auspices of Yayasan Multimedia Nusantara, recognizes that caregiving responsibilities should not hinder access to higher education or professional development. In support of gender equality and advancing women’s progress, UMN welcomes and allows mothers, whether students or staff, to bring their children to campus as part of its inclusive and flexible approach. This initiative is highly align with UMN’s Decree No. 684/SK-R/XII/2024 about Inclusiveness.
While UMN is currently developing a comprehensive childcare facility on campus, Yayasan Multimedia Nusantara has established the Multimedia Nusantara School (MNS) in 2024. MNS provides educational programs ranging from playgroup to elementary levels, serving the community’s families and reflecting the foundation’s commitment to supporting children’s growth and learning within the wider UMN ecosystem.
Though a full-scale childcare center is still in progress at UMN, the university continues to explore and expand resources and policies that help mothers balance their academic or professional responsibilities with caregiving. By fostering a welcoming environment where children are accommodated and supported, UMN promotes a culture of gender equality and work-life integration, ensuring that students and staff can pursue their goals without compromising family needs.
