Jakarta—On Thursday (08/05/2025), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara held a Halal Bihalal (an event of forgiving each other) with the Media at JW Marriott, South Jakarta. This Halal Bihalal was not only to celebrate Eid al-Fitr but also to build friendships with media partners. The event was attended by the ranks of the Universitas Multimedia Nusantara rectorate and invited media.
Halal Bihalal UMN 2025, with the media this time, raised the theme “UMN’s Sustainable Education Innovation Towards World Class University.” Apart from celebrating Eid al-Fitr, this halal bihalal is also a forum for UMN to talk with media partners in Indonesia regarding UMN’s latest programs.

“UMN will have a new study program for postgraduates, namely the Master of Design study program. Seeing that there are currently quite a lot of Master of Design enthusiasts, we try to listen to those who are interested,” Dr. Andrey Andoko, M.Sc., UMN Rector, said.
Andrey also added that all study programs in UMN will focus on two crucial aspects: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainability. Given the technology that continues to advance and the important values of sustainability, these two aspects will be implemented in teaching and research.
“I hope UMN can continue to contribute to the progress of the Indonesian nation by producing graduates who have the competencies needed by the fast-changing industry. Moreover, I hope that both skills and research can be useful for the community and industry,” Andrey added.

Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs & Internationalization, also attended the media halal bihalal this time. Prof. Friska conveyed several additions related to learning at UMN that were developed. Friska focused on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is currently the main competency that many industries need.
“We will also equip study programs unrelated to AI, such as Communication Science, Business, VCD, and Film with AI. In my opinion, mastering AI can be a tool in carrying out a profession so that it can be more productive and efficient,” Friska said.
Another critical point is that management, accounting, and communication science study programs are also expected to master competencies in the field of sustainability. Seeing the needs of industries starting to be aware of environmental and sustainability issues.
“Currently, UMN is participating in internationalization rankings, namely QS Asian Ranking, QS Sustainability, and THE Impact Ranking. Previously, UMN was ranked 128th in the world as The Most Sustainable Campus in the UI Greenmetric World University Ranking,” Friska added.
UMN is preparing to become a World Class University with international accreditation for each study program. Accreditations that UMN has achieved include FIBAA, AUN-QA, IABEE, and several other international accreditations that are still in process.
“I hope UMN’s vision as a superior university at the national and international levels can be realized. And I hope UMN can continue to produce more graduates who become entrepreneurs to create jobs and contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth,” said Friska.
