Dr. Rony Agustino Siahaan, M.Si., is a full-time faculty member at the Journalism Program of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara and has been teaching at various universities since 2006. Before pursuing an academic career, he began his professional journey as a radio journalism practitioner in 1999. He later engaged in independent experiments with multiplatform community media and humanitarian activism through media work.
He has also served as a media campaign consultant for NGO and government projects on child rights protection in several regions, as well as a trainer for government public relations programs at the Ministry of Communication and Information for several years.
Currently, his research focuses on family communication in the digital era, particularly on the development of digital ethnography, which has led to theoretical contributions on maternal identity performance in social media and children’s digital lives within the family.
