Before becoming UMN’s Chancellor, Dr. Ninok Leksono, M.A. was an experienced news editor. He was a Senior Editor at Kompas Daily, a Senior Editor at the aviation magazine “Angkasa,” and a Chief Editor at Kompas.com. Additionally, he was also a member of the Indonesian Press Council from 2013 to 2016.

Apart from his extensive experience in the world of journalism, his academic achievements are also up to par. Ninok has been active in the field of academics since 1993. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of London and a Doctorate degree from the University of Indonesia. On top of that, he has been an active lecturer at various universities, namely: the University of Indonesia, the Defense University (a college under the Ministry of Defense), and Multimedia Nusantara University.

Ninok strives to continue to develop UMN into a well-grounded institution by providing the best lecturers and education and mastering the field of multimedia technology. UMN aims to become an ICT-based leading university in Indonesia and globally.
