Tangerang – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara University has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Dyandra Mitra Indah. The signing ceremony occurred on Friday (July 25, 2025), attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the UMN Career Development Center, the UMN Sustainability Center, and other UMN officials.
PT Dyandra Mitra Indah is a subsidiary of PT Dyandra Media International Tbk, part of the Kompas Gramedia Group. PT Dyandra Mitra Indah is a company engaged in managing tourist parks and wildlife conservation. One place PT Dyandra Mitra Indah operates is Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). This time, UMN had the opportunity to formalize a collaboration with PT Dyandra Mitra Indah in sustainability and recruitment.
“This is a very valuable opportunity for UMN. This collaboration will not only focus on recruitment but also other areas such as research and sustainability. UMN has various academic programs that can be collaborated with PT Dyandra Mitra Indah,” Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA., the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, said.
Ika stated that formalizing this collaboration will increase the employability of UMN students in the workforce. Through partnerships with the industry, Ika also hopes to continue updating the curriculum and teaching methods at UMN so that student learning aligns with current industry developments.
“We want UMN students to gain knowledge and learning that aligns with industry needs, so that from their academic years, we prepare them for the workforce. Various areas for collaboration include career days, guest lectures with practitioners from PT Dyandra Mitra Indah, curriculum alignment, and other collaborations that can be initiated in the future,” Ika added.
Ery Erlangga, the CEO of PT Dyandra Mitra Indah, also expressed his interest and concern in education. Given the rapid advancement of technology today, Ery believes that UMN has taken the proper steps in its educational system.
“Multimedia is the future. We can see Artificial Intelligence everywhere today, and UMN is also focused on sustainability issues. This could be a very interesting collaboration because industry and education face the same challenges. The question is, how do we build the systems and mindset for the next generation? We must also positively instill these two issues in them,” Ery said.
Ery is also very interested in curriculum matching collaborations, as universities must be detailed and keep pace with industry developments when creating curricula. He is also open to other collaborations, such as app development, research, and developing UMN’s existing green spaces.
